Embleton Community Centre is a major investment in the future of southwest Brampton. With the project advancing and key milestones achieved, we are moving closer to delivering a modern, inclusive facility that will provide high-quality recreation, programming and gathering space for the community.
As our city continues to grow, it’s essential that we deliver modern, accessible community spaces that support active living and bring people together close to home.

Embleton Community Centre is being built on Lionhead Golf Club Rd near Mississauga Rd. It is designed as a state-of-the-art, multi-use, multi-seasonal space for residents of all ages and abilities. Once complete, it will serve as a hub for recreation programs, aquatic and fitness opportunities, and community gathering. Planning is also underway to include a future library branch and child care facility on the site, further strengthening this location as a centre for community life.
Major construction activities are expected to begin in spring 2026, moving us closer to delivering a facility the community has been looking forward to. While construction progresses, residents will continue to have access to nearby recreation and library services across Brampton, ensuring families can stay active and connected. At the same time, the City is increasing transparency by providing real-time updates through the new Parks and Recreation Construction Map, which allows residents to track progress on projects across the city.
Projects like Embleton Community Centre reflect our long-term commitment to building complete communities and investing in the quality of life for residents. I look forward to seeing this exciting project move into construction and, in the years ahead, welcoming families into a vibrant new community space.
