Mayor Brown Testifies that Lives Are Being Lost Because of Failing Bail System

Mayor Patrick Brown urged Parliament to pass bail reform immediately, warning that repeat violent offenders are being released back into communities and that tragedies like the deaths of Darian Henderson-Bellman and Savannah Kulla were preventable. He emphasized that residents cannot afford further delays and called the legislation a critical step toward fixing Canada’s broken “revolving door” bail system.
