I was honoured to have Henoc Muamba visit Brampton City Hall today. He moved to Brampton 5 years ago and loves our City. He won the Grey Cup with the Argonauts and was name the game’s MVP. Henoc previously he played in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts. He is a great role model to have in our City.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford announces the Brampton Medical School as part of the government’s expansion of medical education in Ontario. The largest expansion of the Province’s medical school system in more than ten years. In total, 60 undergraduate seats and 295 post-graduate positions are being added at medical schools across the province, including 80 undergraduate seats and 95 post-graduate positions here at the TMU School of Medicine in Brampton.

Mohamed Lachemi: New medical school will strengthen the health care system in Brampton

TMU President Mohamed Lachemi says that Brampton’s new medical school will strengthen the health care system in Brampton in many ways, not least of which is the development of a network of integrated health centers that will both hire and train doctors and other health care professionals to offer medical care directly to between 20,000 to 50,000 Brampton Residents, who currently don’t have access to health care.
